Visit to the LDS Conference Center
So we decided to go somewhere fun on Friday, instead of just sitting around at home doing nothing. We wanted to go to The Mayan restaurant in Sandy where they have entertainment with shows and divers. But we decided we would first stop at Temple Square and take some pictures. We parked in front of the Conference center, so we decided to walk around it. We tried one door but it was locked, so we thought we wouldn't be able to go in. We really wanted to go on the roof, which has trees, plants and water fountains on top. It was fenced off though, but it had a sign that said the roof was only accessed through a tour. So we went inside to see if we could take the tour. We were excited when a nice man asked us if we would like to take the tour. So of course we said yes. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. Kaitlyn said she felt a wonderful feeling as soon as she walked into the Conference center. I did not realize all that is in that wonderful building and all the beautiful paintings; it truly is an inspired building. There was one painting of the resurrected Savior visiting the Nephites in the Americas, and as I looked upon that scene, it made my heart swell with joy, and the spirit witnessed to me that our Savior lives, and this Gospel is true. At the end of the tour we got to go on the roof, it was freezing that day, so we about froze, but it was beautiful up there. I can't wait to go back to that great place. And this time take our time, because we were in a rush. My testimony has been strengthened; I am so thankful for my Savior, and the blessings he sends to us.
